28 Salón Internacional del Cómic Barcelona

The Salon Comic opens its doors today for its 28th Edition and comic lovers everywhere are in for a real treat.

This year’s edition will feature a special guest: Sam Lake, writer of the highly anticipated psychological action thriller “Alan Wake”, available from next May 14th for the Xbox 360. Sam Lake will present the game on Saturday 8th May at 11.00 am in the morning for the media and assistants in the Hall of the Conference Room.

The lovers of comics and culture have an essential event that is not to be missed at the International Comic de Barcelona, which opens from 6th to 9th May 2010 at the Palace number 8 of the Fira de Barcelona. This instalment, organized by FICOMIC, has a very attractive program of exhibitions, guest authors and activities. The list includes artists like Tardi, Jeff Smith, Lewis Trondhem, Liberatore, Gilbert Shelton and Moebius.

Given the strong linkage of the comic with the audiovisual world, the program has activities related to cinema and video games. At the press conference today, President FICOMIC, Antoni Comas said that “the explosion of digital media and the interest in the audiovisual industry is helping to create new opportunities for the Salón del Cómic and bring along new audiences.”

Come to the premiere of the Comic ‘Kick-Ass’

Universal, Megacine of Magic Badalona and The Salón del Cómic Barcelona want to reward the first hundred people who come on Thursday May 6th to the event with a special gift: two invitations to the premiere of Kick-Ass to take place today Thursday at 22:00 in mega Magic Badalona. The first hundred people that present their entrance ticket of 6 euros to the FICOMIC stand will have two invitations to attend this special screening tonight.
