Ok, so the guy is a walking controversy but Marilyn Manson is in Barcelona on 4th December to present his new album The High End of Low at the Olympic Stadium in Montjuic. He plans to show Barcelona what a party really is.

For over 15 years he’s been terrorizing us with his style, his songs and his controversial comments. A lot of people criticize him, others adore him and others can’t stand him because they think he is far too extreme. Nothing he does seems to go unnoticed and in an interview with filmmaker Michael Moore he said “They can’t destroy me just because I have a different opinion”.

This Friday 4th of December Marilyn Manson will be accompanied by Twiggy Ramirez, who used to be part of his old band Marilyn Manson & the Spooky Kids. Twiggy, along with Ginger Fish (drums), Tim Skold (guitar), Chris Vrenna (keyboard) and Rob Holliday (guitar) plan to set Barcelona on fire with their spectacular show.

Marilyn’s name at birth is a lot less scary since his real name is Brian Hugh Warner. He was inspired by screen goddess Marilyn Monroe and serial killer Charles Manson for his stagename. The name of each band member was originally created by combining the first name of an iconic female sex symbol and the last name of an iconic mass murderer or serial killer, doing so to demonstrate the odd dichotomy of society (American society, in particular).

His most valued album was Antichrist Superstar (1996-1997) and was his second full-length studio album. In June 2003, Jon Wiederhorn of MTV.com referred to Marilyn Manson as “the only true artist today”.VH1 also ranked Marilyn Manson as the 78th best rock band on their 100 Great Artists of Hard Rock.
