Lewis Hamilton – the new world F1 champion

Ok it’s Sunday evening and I can’t believe Lewis is the new world Formula 1 champion. With two laps to go Vettel overtakes him – don’t ask me how or why, must be the nerves. Then on the very last bend Timo Glock suddenly slows down, Vettel goes through so does Hamilton and ends up in 5th position. It’s enough to clinch the world title – Lewis has finally done it and is the youngest F1 champion ever! He’s beaten Fernando Alonso’s record, too as he was the previous youngest ever champion.

Massa had to win to be within a chance of being champion and all credit to him as he did a fine job. The rain came down at the beginning and we had a few spills and the safety car duly came out.The rain made a guest appearance at the end of the race too much to the consternation of Ferrari and MClaren. What a race and what a terrific ending to a great F1 season. Let’s hope there’s more of this next year!

Good luck to Lewis as he thoroughly deserved this win, sorry for Massa though ;-)
