One of the most important media events comes to Barcelona next month. The city of Barcelona will be turned into the capital of the mobile phone industry with the 3GSMA Mobile World Congress from 15th to 18th February inclusive. The fair will be held at the Montjuic Trade Fair at Plaza Espanya in the centre of town. This is the fourth year that Barcelona hosts this prestigious event and you’ll be able to mingle with thousands of people all eager to see the latest developments in mobile technology.

This year’s GSMA Mobile World Congress will offer:
• A world-class conference featuring fantastic keynote speeches and action-provoking panel discussions
• An exhibition with more than 1,300 companies displaying up to the minute cutting-edge products and technology that will define the future of mobile technology
• An Awards ceremony  and industry seminars that highlight the most innovative mobile solutions and initiatives from around the world
• Lastly but not least, the best venue for mobile industry networking, finding business opportunities, and making those crucial deals

Just last year the GSMA Mobile World Congress hosted approximately 47,000 mobile professionals from 182 countries. Many of these were executives and representatives from mobile networks from all over the world.
As we have said,during the congress various conferences will be held and several awards will be presented such as the Green Mobile Award (Tuesday, 16th at 15:45-17:45) the Best Technology Award, the Mobile Personality of the Year Award and Best Mobile Services, among others.

The Congress Party and Awards will be held at the National Palace in Montjuic. This event will provide you with an opportunity to engage in high level networking whilst enjoying the entertainment. Expand your network in this informal setting and entertain clients or future partners.This fantastic evening will be hosted by writer and actor Stephen Fry and will feature a performance by Duran Duran, one of the world’s most successful pop bands. The boys from Duran are currently putting the finishing touches to their 13th album due for release this year.
