I was reading El Periódico newspaper this morning and a letter caught my eye which I thought would be good to relate. Apparently this Catalan guy called Joan M. Serch wrote some kind of review on Trip Advisor about his stay in La Seu d’Urgell, Catalonia.

VEUS DEL MON A BARCELONA
Ok I hold my hand up high and say I went to the presentation of the book “veus del mon a Barcelona“. It was quite a nice presentation, held in the ayuntamiento in Plaza Sant Jaume in Barcelona just over a week ago.
There were musicians playing and some video footage of people from around the [...]
Some bizarre Christmas traditions from Catalonia
These Catalan traditions usually come as quite a shock to the rest of mankind but are nonetheless quite fun although strange at the same time if you get my meaning. Ok so we know that Christmas has its roots in pagan celebrations, but where do these guys come from?

27Nov2008 | Catalonia | 2 comments | ContinuedThe Catalan media might have to go back to school
I’ve been reading with interest what’s been happening this week in Cataluña regarding the…ahem language spoken by the Catalan media. 4Dec2007 | Catalonia | 0 comments | ContinuedCatalan kids don’t know their Spanish geography!
I was sort of horrified to learn this morning whilst my 10 year old daughter was going over her homework in Catalan that Catalonia’s primary school children know virtually nothing about the rest of Spain regarding geography.
My wife happened to ask her if she knew any of the names of Spain’s river and she drew a blank. [...]
