Catalonia Saturday round up

Another week has passed us by and we have a new American president in the shape of Barack Obama. Liked the British press yesterday when they had a photo of Obama leaving a gym in Chicago with a baseball cap and trainers on – the caption was…….wait for it “Yo-Bama”. While Zapatero insisted to the Americans the other week that Spain has one of the best economies in the world lol, there are around 6,200 people “signing on” to get unemployment benefit every day! Mmm, didn’t think of that one did you Zapatero! Maybe he should black up his face a little and talk about “Change, we can”. Might pull in some votes!
Timo Glock has got rather fed up with the Spaniards and Brazilians accusations and has resorted to calling them “stupid” – tend to agree on that one! Still on Formula 1 and Bernie Ecclestone is in my black book. Apparently the pint sized plonker was one of the first to accuse the Spanish of being racist with their racist display at Montmelo earlier this year only to retract and tell Lewis Hamilton it might have been a “bit of fun” and they were only supporting Alonso! Grow up Bernie and find a dolly bird of your own age – you’re making us sick to death hanging out with all those grade A chicks a third of your age!
Liverpool had a last minute gift in the shape of a penalty this week as they played Atlético Madrid at Anfield. The ref ruled in Steve Gerard’s favour and Stevie boy then proceeded to step up to the mic and convert the spot kick! Nice! Still on footy, Real Madrid had a bit of a “mare” with Juventus this week and lost 2-0. Barça has Iniesta out for at least 4 weeks while Real Madrid has Robben out for 6!
Somebody sort that boy out!
Anyway that’s it for the moment – stay tuned.
