Busker’s Festival Barcelona

It’s the fifth edition of the Busker’s Festival Barcelona and although it’s already started you can still enjoy 3 more days of this wonderful street festival down in Barceloneta, near the port.

Artists from all over the place flock to Barcelona once a year to take part, enjoy the music and make new friends at the same time. From 19:00 – 23:00 from today until Sunday 2nd of August, (Saturday until midnight) Busker’s will have the chance to share their street music with the neighbours in Barceloneta as well as anyone who wants to listen. This is a great event and lots of fun, perfect for anyone who loves street music and busking in particular.

The entrance fee is a little different to most concerts. You give what you can afford, just as if you were watching any other street artist perform on the subway, train or street. There will also be a raffle and the winner gets to go to Bern, the capital of Switzerland!

Among the many artists penned in to perform at this cultural street event are the following busker’s: Rocola Bacalao, Pistons Flingueurs, Radiografía Suburbana, Sella Finde, Sibaritas de la calle, Simon Asquith, Tanmilonguero and The Stripey Brothers. Incidentally, Radiografía Suburbana will be performing for the very first time at the Busker’s Festival Barcelona and these are a group of street theatre artists.

So why not pop along to the port area of Barceloneta tonight until Sunday 2nd August and enjoy some of the best buskers at the Busker’s Festival Barcelona. You must know by now that Barcelona is quite different!
