True to form, crybaby Fernando Alonso still hasn’t congratulated Sebastian Vettel on winning this year’s F1 Championship. All Alonso could say after the last race at Abu Dhabi was that he had bettered records by Fangio blah blah blah. So it’s sour grapes time for Alonso again as all he could do was watch the rear of Petrov’s Renault for most of the race. He even gestured to the Russian after the race and asked why he wasn’t let past. Petrov said that he was only “doing his job”.
A pretty good job if you ask me as poor old Lewis Hamilton had an equally tough time sitting behind Robert Kubica, also in a Renault. I would have preferred webber to Vettel but there you go, you can’t have everything , can you? Vettel is now the youngest F1 champ ever, pipping both Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso to the crown.
Instead of saying how good he was and how many records he had broken, Alonso should be a bit more humble and speak about the team in general. He had the F1 championship in the bag as it were, but messed up. Webber was content to sit behind Alonso for the whole race and Ferrari thought Webber was the real threat while young Vettel was gaining ground in his Red Bull at the front of the pack. What an extraordinary Grand Prix Finale!
