Cesc Fabregas denied a move to Barça then his dad hinted at an interest in a move to the Camp Nou.
Reports coming from Spain have claimed that Gunners skipper Fabregas has reached a verbal agreement to join the Catalan side this summer. But FC Barcelona moved swiftly to quash the rumours and now the midfielder has put the record straight on the speculation that is surrounding him, insisting he is totally committed to Arsenal.
“They’ve denied it, I’ve denied it. I just want to focus on Arsenal,” Fabregas told Sky Sports.
“I think Arsenal Football Club is above everything, every single player in its history and their fans, and the club, and myself – I think we deserve a little bit more respect.”
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger also stifled rumours that the Spain international was on his way to join Barcelona at the Camp Nou. “Nothing plus nothing is nothing,” Wenger said.
