A great place to go and and even greater one to escape the humid Barcelona heat is the ice bar. Fortunately for us we were provided with warm clothing, hats and gloves (house standard and courtesy) to withstand the freezing temperatures inside. This is one cool way to enjoy an ice cool Mojito, I can tell you! The Ice Bar Barcelona is great and totally awesome. A blue light fills the whole bar made entirely of ice: the chairs, the glasses, the tables… Everything is is made of ice!
Ice Bar Barcelona Opening Times
The Ice Bar Barcelona is open daily from 12:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. and offers an extensive menu of cocktails and tapas so you can enjoy the best in Mediterranean cuisine. And for those sensitive to the cold, this is no problem as the bar also has a terrace on the beach with incredible views!
If you go with a group, and this is highly recommended, and your group is larger than 6 people, it is advisable to make a reservation, because the place is not very big and it may get filled up. So book ahead to avoid disappointment!
The Ice Bar Barcelona is just soooooo cool
The most exciting is that this wonderful and refreshing bar is located right at the seaside, on the Barceloneta Beach! So on a sunny day, you could walk along the beach, sunbath, go swimming, and then head toward the Ice Bar for some -8 degree fun! The Ice Bar Barcelona thankfully also provides visitors wooly mitts and jackets before entering this sub zero kingdom. And with a great range of cocktails you’ll be warmed up in no time at all! There is also a terrace with a wonderful beach view to thaw out the frozen bits after a few drinks in the Ice Bar Barcelona.
