Alonso looks set for another year in the wilderness

Yep, you heard me right folks – Fernando Alonso looks set for another year off! Metaphorically speaking of course! BMW have effectively slammed the door in the Spaniard’s face and will continue with Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica in 2009. Alonso was apparently dilly dallying over a move to BMW and wanted a king’s ransom into the bargain. Anyway, it looks like BMW have got fed up waiting for his decision and decided to close the door.
Alonso still has dreams of wearing red in 2010 when a Ferrari spot is likely to be available. Alonso, who won the last race in Singapur has said that the Vauxhall Viva, sorry Renault R-28 has improved greatly and is a more competitive car. Not as competitive as McLaren though…..

yeah Tom, what kind of Formula 1 driver worth his salt would live the life of a trapist monk
… I ask you..
Not that I care that much but I do think that this serves the miserable sod right. I mean: an F1 driver who doesn’t drink and hates parties? He doesn’t deserve what he’s got!!
