Spain v Germany Eurocup Final
By Catalonia on Jun 27, 2008 with Comments 0
I thought I’d better write a few words after watching Spain walk all over Russia in last night’s Eurocup semi-final. What happened to the Russia that destroyed Holland – who in my opinion was one of the most exciting teams to watch?
In all honesty I think Spain has had one hell of an easy ride so far – with such an easy group who could fail to be in the quarter finals? Well on Sunday 29th of June it looks like Spain will finally meet a team capable of giving them a run for their money. With the likes of Ballack, Klose, Podolski and Schweinsteiger Spain finally has a match on its hands.
An awful lot of Catalans couldn’t be bothered if Spain won or lost against Germany as Spain isn’t really their country, or is it? Talking to one radical Catalan the other day , when I mentioned the national side he said “who is this Espain?” “the national side is Catalonia”. Ok, right, moving swiftly along……
On the other hand Spain would be pretty unbearable if they did win as we’ll have to put up with for the next 4 years just how good Spain is, nobody is better than Spain, Campeones España, Spain outplays everyone, Spain is better than Italy the world champions etc etc por favor!!
Y tu, ¿Qué opinas?
