Spanish lorry drivers strike is over – for the moment.

It looks like the Spanish lorry drivers have decided to stop striking at the moment in order to ease the economy. The strike started a week ago over the increasing price of fuel has left supermarkets without supplies and caused traffic jams all over the country.

The strike was instigated by three of the biggest transport companies in spain; Fenadismer, Confedetrans and Antid and have decided that the strike at the moment is counter productive so are suspending it temporarily.

According to Asedas ( Asociación Española de Distribuidores, Autoservicios y Supermercados) the strike has cost around 130,000,000 € in losses to Spanish supermarkets and the president of Fenadismer Julio Villaescusa has said that the transport crisis is far from over.
